bry, eric, and the pups: family.

It is no secret that I love dogs, and especially since having Nora, I've so appreciated that our dog Winston needs no assistance in sleeping, eating, or general contentment. Dogs are just the best in my humble opinion (Nora is definitely the best too, just slightly more high maintenance:)

So when Bry contacted me to photograph her, her boyfriend Eric, and their two dogs, Charlie and Mack, I was thrilled. The two of them were so easy to photograph, their dogs are adorable and funny, and it was the perfect fall day, with gorgeous colors and amazing light.

It was basically my dream come true.

Thank you Bry and Eric for spending a Friday evening with me. I hope the boys enjoyed the extra treats. Their modeling abilities are second to none!

the dougans: family.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There are few things better than when a family chooses me multiple times to document their family. There are so many wonderful photographers out there, and it feels good when a family and I get to know each other and decide it's a good fit all around. It's like dating, minus the whole romantic relationship part:)

I photographed the Dougans last year with Erin, Hank, and Knox, and then this summer when Jay joined the family, and now with everyone together enjoying the beautiful fall colors as the perfect backdrop.

Thank you Dougans over and over again for keeping me around. I think we have a good thing going here.

the connetts: family.

After I met and photographed the Arandas a few weeks ago, Allison's mom Nancy contacted me to take photos of the entire family at their family cabin. I convinced my husband to drive me up to the mountains last Sunday, and even though the aspens weren't quite in full fall yellow yet, it's always great to get out of the city for a little while.

I've got to hand it to this family. Organizing seven adults and four kids is never an easy task, but they were fun, kind, and efficient (the kids haven't yet built up their picture taking stamina quite like the adults:)

They were even so kind as to invite us in for lunch with them (unfortunately, we couldn't take them up on the offer with Sunday football on the agenda for the afternoon).

Thank you Connetts for a lovely mountain afternoon. It was so great to meet all of you, and I hope the hot sun and efforts to get the kids to smile didn't wear you out too much. What a wonderful family you have.

the srembas: family.

It's been quite a summer to say the least. Not only did we have miss Nora at the end of June, but Nick's sister Leighann and her husband Matt welcomed their own baby girl, our niece Abigail, in mid July.

. These two little girls have turned our worlds upside down in just about every way possible, and it's so great to have family who understands all the highs and lows of life with a newborn. And now Nora and Abigail have a built in friend for life! We really couldn't have planned it any better.

Matt's family came into town to meet Abigail and with everyone together, it was the perfect time for family photos. We went out to Golden and endured a little bit of wind and rain, but I think it was well worth it.

It's clear that everyone adores Abigail, and I know she's going to adore them all right back.
