baby halloween party: event.

although it's been over a month since halloween, i just couldn't resist posting these photos of some absolutely adorable babies today. my friend ann had a party for all the new moms and babies in their neighborhood this past halloween and asked me to snap a few photos.

it was just too much. i think you'll agree, these babies are the cutest.

and their faces in the group photo are pretty much the best. i hope you enjoy looking at them as much as i enjoyed taking them!

the wetterlings: family.

trish was one of the very first people i met in denver. she was friends with my sister, and i still remember having lunch with her one day at a noodles and company while she was pregnant with her first son jake. well, now jake is in kindergarten, she has another little guy finn, and her family should probably be featured in a magazine.

so there's that.

i am so happy i had the chance to photograph their beautiful family. trish and trevor are wonderful parents, we laughed practically the whole time, and jake even showed me his signature model pose. it was basically a photographer's dream.

thanks to crema coffee for letting us use their back space and larimer street for never failing to be exactly what i'm looking for.

enjoy some of my favorites (although it was hard to pick!)

the bishops: family.

i met libby and her husband jim when i started my first teaching job in denver almost six years ago. the bishops were one of the very first families to trust me enough to take their family photos, and i am honored that they came back for round two this year.

it's so fun to photograph families over time and watch their little ones grow up. last time i photographed henry, he was a wobbly one year old, holding onto park benches to keep his balance. but this time around, i could barely keep up with him.

we spent the morning at the newly renovated union station since the weather outside was a bit frightful and had the best time exploring and chasing after henry. the bishops are such a sweet, easy going family and i always have such a great time with them.

enjoy some of my favorites from our time together.

justin and marcy: engagement.

i had a wonderful time at the cherry creek reservoir this past weekend with justin and marcy, a midwestern couple transplanted to colorado, with beautiful smiles and a perfect sense of humor. after spending some time chatting, i found out they both grew up in the same town in iowa (same school, church, etc), but didn't meet until after they both ended up moving to denver. i loved hearing some of their story.

they are getting married back in iowa in february, and i know they will have a beautiful wedding and even better marriage. their love for each other was obvious as we spent the morning together, and i wish them nothing but the very best.
