hattie ray: family.

let me introduce you to one adorable baby, miss hattie ray.

hattie's parents are our landlords and live right in front of us, so we get to see this pretty girl while she admires the fountain in the backyard or sits on her porch swing in the afternoon.

her facial expressions are second to none, and i am so glad i had the chance to photograph her in action. she was the perfect little model.

enjoy some of my favorites!

morgan: senior.

morgan was so much fun to photograph. not only is she completely adorable, but she is only 16 and graduating from columbine high school this year! she's worked really hard to graduate with her friends, but when i asked her if she was planning to go to college, she said, "i don't even know what i'm going to have for dinner." i love it. no one said you had to have it all figured out when you're just 16!

we spent the afternoon together at lair o' the bear park, which was absolutely beautiful, and combine that with how gorgeous morgan is, i had a very difficult time narrowing down which photos to share.

thank you for spending time behind my lens morgan. i know wherever your path may lead will always be full of adventure.

mallory and greg: maternity.

mallory and her husband greg are about to welcome their first baby into the bond family in only a couple of weeks, and i was honored to capture such a special time in their lives last wednesday evening in golden.

mallory and i work together and have spent many hours over the past few years running along the streets and paths of denver. i have loved my time getting to know her better, and i can only hope her baby girl has as much life, dedication, spunk, and joy as her mom!

greg and mallory were so fun and easy to photograph, and i think their love for each other {and their pup maggie} shines through in their photos.

enjoy a few favorites from our time together.

former future brewery/maria empanada: event.

former future brewery has a very, very special place in my heart.

nick and i first met james and sarah howat, the owners of former future, at a tasting in their home, when the brewery was still in the planning stages.

since that day we have watched the blood, sweat, and tears they have poured into making their dream a reality, and i am so proud to call them our friends.

they are brave, innovative, and fiercely determined. and to top it all off, they make amazing beers and have created a beautiful, inviting space where people love to come and share beer and community together.

so with all that said, when sarah asked if i would come photograph their beer and empanada pairing event with their friends at maria empanada, i was more than happy to oblige.

in between taking photos i got to taste some of the pairings, and they were delicious!

if you live in denver, you have to visit former future for craft beers and maria empanada for tasty empanadas.

you will not be disappointed. scout's honor.
