Family

baby sloan: family.

ann, luke, baby sloan, and i met at crown hill park last thursday, and despite the intense wind, we had a wonderful time together.

sloan is completely adorable with an amazing fashion sense (i practically died when ann brought out her hat and jacket), and i couldn't get enough. oh, and when i saw the little rocking chair was going to be included in the photos, i totally lost it.

i feel so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph such amazing families, like the riches.

sloan is a beautiful little one year old with great parents, and i am so thankful to have spent a little time with them.

enjoy a few of my favorites from our afternoon together.

noah and lila turn one: family

one year ago, i was holding noah and lila in the nicu. i watched the machines monitor their breathing and saw all the cords and tubes connected to their little bodies. they were so small and fragile, but they were little fighters too.

i think that's why it was so special for me to be able to photograph their first birthday. they are so strong and healthy now and have some of the most expressive little faces you've ever seen. their time in the nicu is only a small part of their story, and we are all so thankful.

we celebrated them on sunday with a safari themed party, burgers on the grill, a quick torrential rain storm, and a pretty epic first cake eating experience {lila wasn't exactly a fan}. sam and becky, their parents, are two of my favorite people, and I'm so glad i could be a part of the celebration.

enjoy!

hattie ray: family.

let me introduce you to one adorable baby, miss hattie ray.

hattie's parents are our landlords and live right in front of us, so we get to see this pretty girl while she admires the fountain in the backyard or sits on her porch swing in the afternoon.

her facial expressions are second to none, and i am so glad i had the chance to photograph her in action. she was the perfect little model.

enjoy some of my favorites!

the gossetts: family.

i first met bob and jamie through my brother-in-law, aaron, who also just happens to be bob's very best friend.

their son, brady, just turned two last sunday, so it was fitting to take some family photos in the park last week to celebrate. we traipsed through the high grass of the park in the hot sun, as brady explored to his hearts' content and kept asking for his dad to throw him up in the air just one more time.

it was an adventurous morning.

they are such a beautiful and fun family. enjoy some of my favorites from our time together.
