the gagners: family.

A few years ago, I met Alexxa in a neighborhood coffee shop because of the blog I wrote at faithfully many, many moons ago. We've been able to stay in touch over the years, and now her husband Nick is our family dentist. It's funny how life brings people together.

Nick and Alexxa just welcomed their second daughter Catherine in mid September, and it was wonderful to spend a Friday morning meeting her and admiring her incredible hair. I mean, that mohawk might just be the best thing I've ever seen. Caroline is already a great big sister, sometimes taking her affection as far as licking her little sister's head. She obviously takes her role very seriously.

Thank you Nick, Alexxa, Caroline, and Catherine for welcoming me into your beautiful home. These days are long, but they are precious. I feel honored that you chose me to capture them for you.

the walkers: family.

When Jessi first contacted me and told me that she had one year old twins and a two year old, I immediately called her my hero. Oh, and add on to that list a cross country move not too long ago, and you know that this family is something special. Three boys under three is not for the faint of heart, and from what I can tell, Jessi and Jonathan are taking everything in stride, giving their boys a whole lot of love and giving themselves a whole lot of grace.

After only spending an evening with this family, I already felt like we were good friends. They were so warm and kind, and their boys are adorable, so the time flew by. Before I knew it, the sun was setting, and everyone at the playground was closing up shop. What a beautiful evening we had together.

Thank you Walkers for reaching out and trusting me to take photos of your perfect family. Can't wait for our next session in a few months! You guys are the very best.

the heywoods: family.

This is the third time I was lucky enough to photograph the Heywood family The first time I met them, Grant was only a few days old, and now he is an adorable toddler with places to go and people to see. What a joy it is to reunite with families every year and see how they grow and change. It's such a privilege that I don't take lightly.

We met at Cheesman Park on a beautiful, crisp, perfectly fall Saturday morning. We walked around the park, played in the leaves, admired all the dogs, and caught up on the last year. Ellen, Ron, and Grant are some of the very best.

Thank you Heywood family for choosing me again this year to document your family. I hope you will cherish these photos for years to come.

the kiersteins: family.

Janell is one of my sister-in-law's coworkers, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet her and photograph her beautiful family. We met in Golden, the leaves were the perfect shade of yellow, and the weather was gorgeous. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Since I'm used to photographing families with small children, Will and Peter were a couple of pros in my book. I don't think it was too painful for them (fingers crossed).

Thank you Kiersteins for inviting me into your lives for a little while. It was so fun to meet you, and I hope you will cherish these photos for many years to come.
